Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC for short) has a very high specific surface area and a strong decolorization and adsorption function. Depending on the raw material, powdered activated carbon is divided into coal-based PAC and wood-based PAC, which is generally used for industrial wastewater treatment because the impurity content of coal-based PAC is higher than that of wood-based PAC, while wood-based PAC is widely used in food industry, sugar industry and pharmaceutical industry.
